The Year that was...

I love new fresh years.  All squeaky clean and waiting for your imprint upon them.

What does the year ahead hold? No one knows, that's like trying to see around a corner... simply not possible you just have to hang on and enjoy the ride.

When 2011 started I had no idea what the year would hold.  Although I had some vague ideas of that I thought it might look like nothing could have prepared me for the journey of this year.  Every year is unique in experiences and moments if you are open to them... and this past year was no exception.  From personal moments like going to the theatre for the first time at Stratford Festival and seeing Titus (amazing by the way!), to meeting new people and seeing life through their eyes and being willing to let go, to living life out loud and being willing to embrace all the changes that come along to professional moments like being inspired by some of the amazing folks I've connected with this year in the world of photography through social media (oh yeah, I'm a social media addict), to photographing my best friend's baby bump (after much coaxing and convincing), to scrolling through my Facebook and noticing that over half of my friends have images that I've captured for them as their profile pics (that's a joyful moment and makes me realize I have the BESTEST friends ever!), to photographing a family of 20! and surviving to tell the tale... it has been an amazing year.  To commemorate all that has happened I've put together two collections (one personal and one of favourite client images) to share with you... thank you for making my 2011 so full, I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store.
